WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE USING THE PIECE FOR THE FIRST TIME?

Before using the pan for the first time, wash, rinse and dry it thoroughly. Following, condition the non-stick surface with a small amount of cooking oil.

WHAT CLEANING PRODUCTS SHOULD I USE? CAN I USE THE DISHWASHER?

All you need to clean the pots is a soft sponge and warm water. The high quality of the non-stick coating makes cleaning very easy. Although our products are dishwasher safe, we recommend you wash them with warm water and a mild detergent. The chemicals used in dishwasher detergents and high temperatures of dishwashers can weaken the non-stick surface and affect de durability of the product. Avoid using coarse utensils or scrubbing materials to avoid damaging the product.

CAN I USE THE PANS ON GAS STOVETOPS? WHAT ABOUT CERAMIC OR INDUCTION STOVETOPS?

Top cooker aluminium cookware products can be used in all types of stove: gas, electric, ceramic or induction. For induction hobs, it is recommended to use medium power. Never put any of our products in the microwave oven.

WHAT TYPE OF UTENSILS CAN I USE TO COOK WITH?

We recommend avoiding the use of metal or sharp utensils, because they can damage or deteriorate the coating. To extend the non-stick properties of our products always use wood, silicone or heat resistant plastic utensils.

WHAT PRECAUTIONS SHOULD I TAKE WHEN I AM COOKING?

It is important to never leave the pan unattended on the stove nor to leave an empty pan on the stove because overheating can damage the coating. We do not recommend shaking the pans in contact with ceramic or induction stovetops because it can scratch or damage the surface of the stove. To withdraw the pan from the stove during cooking, always use some kind of protection to avoid burning yourself. We recommend turning off the stove before picking up the pan.

HOW CAN I REMOVE FOOD THAT STICKS TO THE PAN?

If for some reason food burns or residues stick to the cooking surface, simply fill the pan with water and add a spoon of baking soda. After soaking for a while, the solution will turn brown and the food residues will float to the surface. Empty the pan and wash it as usual with a mild detergent and water.

AT WHAT TEMPERATURE SHOULD I COOK?

We recommend using mid-range temperatures. Heating at medium or low temperatures foods will cook in their own juices, retaining flavor and nutritional properties. Besides, there will be savings on your electric or gas bill. It is also important to properly center the pan on the burner or hob to avoid damaging handles or the coating and obtain better heat distribution. It is important to avoid abrupt changes in temperatures, such as cooling the pots with cold water while they are still hot or overheating them when empty. This could deform the base and affect heat distribution in the future. Preheat the pan at low or medium temperatures before using higher ones. Preheating the pan at a low temperature for about 30 seconds will help extend the life of the coating.

HOW SHOULD THE PANS BE CARED FOR?

In order to maintain the non-stick surface in optimum conditions, carefully store the pans avoiding direct contact with metal or sharp objects. Dry them thoroughly with a dry towel after washing to eliminate water spots and help maintain the enamel clean and bright. Always allow your pots and pans to cool off before washing them. If they are soaked in hot water while they are still hot, the base of the product could undergo severe damage which will affect uniform heat distribution and consequential food burning. It is not advisable to use Clorox or other abrasive products such as oven cleaners because they can damage both the non-stick coating and the enamel surface. To extend the durability of the non-stick surface and have it in perfect cooking conditions, it is important to remove any food residue each time you use the pan. Otherwise, there will be buildup on the surface that will affect the non-stick properties of the coating.
